The Best SHEIN Winter Outfits of the Season
SHEIN winter wear is really on point this season. While you’ll need to sift through the plethora of options, you might be surprised that so many of SHEIN’s winter coats, dresses, jackets, sweaters, etc. are decent quality and well-fitting, especially given the low price point. SHEIN is perfect for capturing those winter trends like plaid blazers, shackets, and all things teddy. So, let’s get into the looks and see which of these SHEIN winter outfits make the cut.
Actually, before we get started, I wanted to discuss exactly how you should determine if an article of clothing at SHEIN is worth purchasing. Make sure to read the size chart for every single clothing item. Sizing at SHEIN can be all over the place, but the measurements are listed right there for you to utilize in their sizing guidelines.
Furthermore, simply looking at the star rating itself is not a good indicator of the article of clothing’s quality. I’d recommend avidly reading the reviews on each item you are interested in purchasing. Yes, the number of reviews are inflated because people want to receive SHEIN points, but if you read enough of them, you’ll really be able to determine if the product is itchy, the material is thin, or if the item actually fits well.
Take it one step further and look at the photos of people actually wearing the items. You’ll really get a good feel for the quality of the winter outfits by seeing how it looks on all different body types.

This chunky, oversized knit sweater is the perfect piece for fall/winter season. The arms length is nice and long which is always a must for me on winter items and the fabric is soft and breathable. Plus, the material is 100% acrylic, so it doesn’t have a tendency to be itchy like some wool pieces do.
This sweater is perfect on its own for fall, and you can throw a tank top on underneath if you would like to layer for a colder, winter climate. Check the size chart and size down if you don’t want it to be super baggy because this is truly an oversized sweater as advertised.
I am all about that cozy, elevated loungewear for wintertime and this monochrome sweatshirt and sweatpant set is it. The material is soft, and the fabric is sewn well, but the inside isn’t fuzzy like many sweatshirt interiors. Instead, it has a subtle ribbed texture. This set fits true to size and it’s such a hit that people often buy the set in multiple colors. Also to note, the drawstring is for show and does not actually tighten the elastic waistband on the sweatpants.
Sets like this one are great for work from home, movie nights, and even casual lunches and dinners out with friends. I personally love the beige set (which is truly more of an ivory) with a camel coat and white sneakers.
Who doesn’t love a shacket these days? There are SO many cute shirt jackets on the SHEIN website – like I’m talking in the hundreds – but you really have to read the reviews carefully and check the material composition because some are overwhelmingly itchy on people. Luckily, the Drop Shoulder Curved Hem Plaid Coat is not.
The flannel material is good quality; it’s thick and warm which makes it a perfectly cozy option for winter. It’s a bit oversized – as a shacket should be – but I would stick with your true size unless you want to wear lots of layers underneath or have a tight fit. If you have long arms, though, you might consider sizing up. Unfortunately, a lot of SHEIN outerwear does not come with pockets and this shirt jacket is no exception. If pockets are a non-negotiable, I would look at some of the other shacket options on the site.
With winter being holiday party season, you’ll probably want a festive dress to wear out. This velvet dress from SHEIN comes in the perfect holiday colors. I am particularly partial to the dark green, but the maroon, black, and dark blue also work perfectly for wintertime events.
The dress is incredibly flattering even though the bodycon style hugs your body because of the ruched details around the stomach and hip area. The velvet material is incredibly soft and stretchy it’s actually quite thick, so you don’t have to worry about the dress being see-through. Depending on your frame, the arms can fit a little funky, but you can either wear the dress with the shoulders up or off-the-shoulder, so you should be able to find a good solution if the bodice is loose. It fits true to size.
Bundling yourself up in a cozy teddy coat is a wintertime must and SHEIN delivers with many options. I’ve included two because my personal favorite, the Double Button Lapel Collar Teddy Coat, does not have pockets and I do believe that is a crucial feature for a winter coat. If pockets are a necessity, then check out the Lapel Collar Dual Pockets Teddy Coat instead. Now, let’s go over the rest of the features.
Double Button Lapel Collar Teddy Coat: This fluffy coat is really soft and cozy on the outside, and its warm even though there is no lining on the inside. I love it because of the length and I think it’s truly a statement piece. It’s a bit oversized, which is great because that leaves room to layer up underneath.
Lapel Collar Dual Pockets Teddy Coat: Many SHEIN outerwear pieces do not have pockets, so I was determined to find a cozy winter teddy coat that does. Luckily, this super warm, cozy coat exists. It fits a little more boxy than the other coat and there is also no fur on the inside of this coat, but it’s a great length and goes with everything.
I wasn’t sure if I could trust SHEIN with leather leggings, but these faux patent leather high-rise leggings are actually decent quality and form to your body really well! And, they aren’t see-through because they are lined on the inside. This is great news because leather leggings go with everything and are such an easy, comfy way to immediately elevate any outfit.
The leggings are super high waisted and have an elastic band to hold them up. They should hit around your ankle. The leather leggings will make a little noise when you walk but that’s pretty commonplace given the style. I would be extra careful washing these as you don’t want the faux leather to peel.
Some other things to keep in mind and a note about SHEIN:
Shipping times can be long, so if you have a trip booked or an event in mind, be sure to order at least 2-3 weeks in advance. But, you can return your items – not swimwear – for up to 45 days after purchase. That is quite a reasonable return policy!
This company has had its fair share of controversies that should not be overlooked. The company has apologized, but it’s important to be educated on the matter. I wanted to acknowledge this so that you can make an informed choice before purchasing. SHEIN is also a fast fashion company and the business could certainly do more to be transparent in discussing their supply chain methods and how the clothes are produced.
